Organic forms and their unpredictable flow found in nature is the inspiration for this reimagined Carhartt x Gokotta Handcraft jacket.

We have used a traditional Japanese fabric Kanoko ((鹿子)) in both red and blue applied using our Sashiko Ike ((池)) technique .
.
Kanoko translated means fawn or deer, the pattern has similarity to the contrasting spots of the fawns fur. This pattern is often created using the traditional Japanese resist-dyeing technique ‘shibori’ ((絞り)), which requires a lot of time and skill to achieve. Due to this timely technique, fabric of this nature is traditionally considered a luxury textile, symbolising wealth.
